I was wondering the same thing. If I say that its in my culture to wear seven 12 inch black rubber dildos on my head and that when ever someone says the words, racist, BEE or aparthied I have to, according to MY culture, shake my head around and scream at the top of my lungs "VIVA LA FREEDOM"! and slap the dildo's against the floor.
Isn't it the same thing and I should be allowed to do it

Apparently you can claim any religion you like. This country is secular and doesn't recognise any particular one.

I just wish that africans can get out of their african cultural mentality. It's the 21st century FFS!!

Unfortunately, once the world loosing its sense of culture for one dominant culture (western), there really wouldn't be much to live for!

Without getting into the argument of whether this was a racist act or not, DJK, did you bother to check the meaning of blasphemy - it means "Showing irreverence and contempt for something sacred" which is relevant in the context they are using it

You miss the point, if it isn't sacred to you then it isn't blasphemy. Blasphemy is a personal decision.

A piece of dead animal around someone's wrist is not sacred to me, I find it disgusting, religions need to move with the times. Does that make me religiously intolerant? Perhaps. But in no way am I being blasphemous.

Many Western Churches and religions have changed to adapt to the times we live in. There is loosing a sense of culture and there is adapting to a new world.

They will keep on blaming everything on apartheid, for as long as they do that they don't have to admit their own failures and stupidities. Now they have someone to blame, if they don't blame apartheid they will actually have to admit to their own blame.

Who are they? I find that very generalizing.:p

You could always live for BEE deals, nice house, BMW, etc. Many seem to have adopted that culture without any problems.

They're still licking their wounds can anyone blame them?

For how long can that argument continue? In 30 years time will we be hearing "well it's only really been one generation" can you blame them? Move on now. The majority of white South Africa have. I can assure you that if this twit was racist, he'd probably get just as much flak from the rest of us who can't stand intolerance based on colour, no matter who the oppressor is.

It's time to move on. But everything the ANC and it's affiliates do, hampers this process; by turning any and everything they can into a race issue. Fscking annoys me...

You remind me of my boss. He used to call us into his office, crap us out and call us 'you people' (i.e. all of you, not aimed at a specific race).

Whenever he did that, I always asked him: "Who are 'you people'?" :D

People are missing the forest for the trees here.
What animal is it?
Is the animal Kosher/Halaal?
What happens if a piece falls into the Halaal Wors?

Is the fact a Muslim now eats a piece of non-halaal animal less important than someone elses right to wear a dead animal?
You want to make this about racism and religious intolerance? Go right ahead.
There is plenty other opinions

The ANC does annoy the kark out of me these days, coming from someone who's cast a vote for them in the past. As i said they will continue to blow it up. You're probably right when you say that white south africa has moved on it was easy but black sa has not cause its hard. And thats fine, as i said it will take a long time for them and we cannot blame them it might be annoying but its true.

To tell you the truth little has changed in this country actually or luckly who knows

I think as long as 90% of blacks still live in squater camps and 90% of whites still live in mansions people will remember apartheid because we are infact still apart.
