hmmm i tend to agree with you .... the ***** is about to hit the fan big time

Julius isn't gonna be happy either :) hahahahaha

Noooo ... I think ol' Julius will be as happy as a pig in sh## ... he can get to spout all his little nothings about squashing cockroaches and 'eliminating counter-revolutionaries' and racist judgements etc etc.

He's probably sitting in his cot right now, foaming at the mouth and furiously scribbling on pieces of toilet paper.

Anybody want to make any bets we hear from him before the day is out?

Zuma will become the president. This will not stop the ANC. They will delay things as much as possible until the elections are over and Zuma is crowned king. Once he is king, he will simply have the judges removed and the laws changed as needed.

The opposition have no back-bone and they have no power in this country. The country is ruled by the vote of the masses, who will vote for Zuma. There will be bloodshed and violence, but that is the African way.

Those that can leave, should seriously consider their options now and leave this year. South Africa is doomed to fail with stupidy the order of the day. When the bulk of the population (and politicians) have an IQ of less than 70, it means that they are all clinically retarded and you can predict the outcome.

The best thing to do now is take your skills elsewhere and stop prolonging this. Let Africa sort itself out (and fail once again) but take care of yourself. Staying here and adding to the economy is the worst thing you can do, since it just prolongs the inevitable. My ticket is booked for May and i cannot wait to board the plane.

We're hoping it doesn't come to that - the ANC would least at least a 2/3rds majority to alter the constitution (which they would need to do) - and I have serious doubts whether they will get that this year.

I wonder if we'll have deceased people voting for the ANC this year a la Zimbabwe ...

The Judge ruled against Zuma.

Score one for justice!

ok new question ....can he stand for president while facing charges ???? this might have been answered before so please forgive my ignorance :)

He can seeing as its "innocent until proven guilty" not the other way around.

Hoping will not save you or your family from tyrrany. Is is foolish to pin your childrens future on hopes that things will change. The opposition parties will not make a huge dent, since they will not sway the masses to vote for them. Most of the masses are illiterate and do not understand what is going on. They are like sheep to the slaughter and will do what they are told, which is to vote ANC or face death. Start planning your migration now, before you are just another statistic here. Your skills will be appreciated and you will be paid well elsewhere, where there is no BEE (AKA reverse racism).

@harpon - you're quite the little ray of sunshine, aren't you.

Not everybody has the luxury of running overseas at the first sign of trouble.

Back on track: does anyone have any idea when the actual judgement will be available - I'd really like to see it.

Thanks for that positive note harpon... Not everyone is in a position to just up and leave. Further more the Zuma needs 2 3rds majority to amend the constitution "change laws" as you so put. With they way things are going...I don't think he will get that amount of power. People have lost faith in the ANC... and they wont admit it. The Bi-election proves it. This ruling is only going to fuel the fire...

Then stay and fight, but you know the odds of coming out alive. My family is more important to me than this country, so i will do what it takes to make sure they have a future. You liberals all think that things will be okay. That is foolish and you will surely face the consequences of your decision. Africa has shown us how it rules and no amount of 'imperialst' law can change that. The ANC will now use the racism card to blame others, since the judge was a white afrikaner.

I am a critic of this - and all - government, but this is a bit harsh.

Bon voyage.

So does this mean that Thabo Mbeki was wrongfully fired?

No - he wasn't fired, he was recalled. As if there is a real difference:p

Tbone may have have meddled, there may have been a conspiracy, etc. But basically the ANC wanted him out and this was just an excuse. Wrongful or not has nothing to do with how the Polokwane thugs think.

Wow, you are just a bundle of joy and hope!

While I don't dispute that there is a possibility in what you say... there is no sense in predicting all doom and gloom.

The time to throw in the towel will be after this next election. If as you say, the masses vote blindly for the ANC, then I will agree that there is no hope. But if COPE manages to put a dent in the ANC's two-thirds majority, then all is not lost.

Read that ***** back again and see if you make any sense. Don't blame the ineffectiveness of the DA and other opposition parties on ANC voters. If you have few choices, you'll go for the party that best represents your(narrow) interest....if you've grumbled at having to subscribe to a Telkom line you'll get my point.:D
