Some of us here have businesses and I posted this in the elections sub-forum, becuase I feel businesses have a big say when it come to elections.

And one thing that the business community does not like, is uncertainty. Like when 2 Senior Office bearers of the party that will almost certainly be the ruling party next year say things opposite to what the other is saying.

Mantashe tells business people, that policies WILL change, then Zuma tells a different set of business people, that policies will NOT change. Seeing as though I consider Zuma to be a leader of the puppet variety, I'm more inclined to believe Mantashe.

"ANC policies are formulated by the ANC. Our alliance partners participate in the process," he said.

"However, they cannot and do not dictate to the ANC what its policies should be."

Maybe the Americans he was speaking to are not clever enough to pick up that what he is saying is not true, becuase the ANC NEC is made up of people that come from the alliance.

Most of the SACP Central commitee are on the NEC FFS!

All I want from political parties is ONE clear unanimous voice, is that too much to ask for? Now we have to sit and guess who is going to get their way.

Zuma has often been known to make contradictory statements - the man is the ultimate politician. This is one of the reasons I fear him becoming president - no one knows what we are going to get.

I'm more inclined to believe Mantashe, as much as I dislike the man.

I'm not sure that the ANC itself knows what its policies are. There has been a lot of talk recently about the ANC being taken over by the SACP.

At any rate, the ANC is a very large political party, with members ranging from prominent businessmen to trade union members, to members of the communist party. Right now, I think there is probably an ongoing power battle between the various factions - hence the split.

Rule of thumb is that Zuma tells his audience what they want to hear.

Yea, Zuma is a good candidate. He is not really known for his moral values.
