sourcing and negotiation, fund-raising
and ongoing management of portfolio
companies. Richard holds BA

Dr. Angus Hay is the Chief Technology
Officer at Neotel. Angus is
well known in the telecoms and
broadband community, and is
a regular conference speaker
at events related to telecoms
and ICT. Dr. Hay completed his
Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering from the University
of the Witwatersrand in 1987.
He went on to complete his PhD
in Digital Transmission from
the same institution in 1998. |

Brian Seligmann is a Senior
Manager : Data Bearers &
Services at MTN. He is the driver
behind many of MTN’s data initiatives
and a well respected gadget
guru. Brian is also the African representative on the Executive Management Committee of the GSMA. In the past Brian was
the Marketing Manager at Apple
Computer and a Technical Director
at NuLogic Systems. Brian holds

Brian
Herlihy - President, SEACOM
Brian Herlihy has extensive
experience in mega-infrastructure
projects in Africa spanning
a number of disciplines including
power generation, chemical processing
plants, ports and telecommunications.
As SEACOM president Herlihy
oversees the full funding and
implementation of the $600 million
fibre optic undersea cable project.
He holds a MSc and BA from the
London School of Economics and
Boston College respectively.

Richard Fyffe joined M-Net owned
advertising sales company Oracle
Airtime Sales as GM of its online
division, Oracle Online Sales.
As the internet, telephony and
television started to converge,
Fyffe moved to DStv to head
up MultiChoice Africa’s Interactive
TV division. Richard hold a
BS degree from the University
of Liverpool and a MSc from
