Telkom clarifies ADSL outage

Telkom has confirmed that a break in its ATM network in Rosebank was to lame for the recent ADSL downtime.

Thami Msimango, Telkom’s CTO, stated that the fault was resolved around 14:00 on Friday.

“Telkom experienced a break on its ATM network in Rosebank, which demanded a replacement of key equipment. This happened around 11h45 and was resolved fully by 14h00.” He said.

ADSL users in the Gauteng region was affected by the downtime.
