Telkom introduces new flat-rated calling plans
Wally Beelders, Telkom’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, says customers who subscribe to Telkom CLOSER are charged a fixed rate for calls anywhere in the country.
“Telkom CLOSER is customer centricity in action. We conducted a thorough analysis of customer needs and preferences prior to conceptualising Telkom CLOSER,” he said.
“The resultant calling plans enable our diverse customer base to choose the option that complements their choice of lifestyle. But the calling plans have one thing in common: all of them will save you money,” he continued.
Telkom Closer Plan 3
Unlimited local and long distance calls during Callmore time, up to an hour per call, at a fixed cost of R 300-00 per month. Customers who choose Plan 3 will also receive 1 000 Standard time minutes per month.
Telkom Closer Plan 2
Unlimited local and long distance calls during Callmore time, up to an hour per call at a fixed cost of R145 per month. In addition, subscribers will be able to make local and long distance calls at 68c per minute during Standard time.
Telkom Closer Plan 1
Local and long distance calls during Callmore time, up to an hour per call, will be charged at a fixed rate of R1.40 per call. This plan costs R 120-00 per month.

All these plans include home line rental and Call Answer in the price.
Telkom CLOSER Internet Add-On
Customers who subscribe to any one of the calling plans qualify for an Internet add-on. A rental fee of R150 per month secures 150 local Internet dial-up hours per month during Callmore time.
Telkom’s spokesperson Lulu Letlape said that the plans proved to be very popular, with more than 20 000 customers already signed up. Most of these customers opted for plan 3.
These plans are only available to post-paid customers.
