Telkom hosted conference tackles the issue of convergence
The theme of the conference is “Convergence – can technology deliver” and will include panelists from local and international telecommunication operators.
The conference is co-sponsored by many of the large telecommunication companies including Telkom. SATNAC will be held at the Champagne Sports Resort in Central Drakensberg from 12-14 September 2005.
Stefano Pileri, chief technology officer of Telecom Italy, is one of the main plenary speakers. Other speakers and panelists include industry leaders from BT, Intel and various other major suppliers.
Interested parties unable to attend the conference will be able to watch a live broadcast on Summit TV (DSTV channel 55) or they can stream it on the Internet.
The TV broadcast will begin at 08:30 on the 12th of September and run until 15:00 with interviews with prominent players between 13:00 and 14:00 on Summit TV.
