MTN reduces MMS prices
MTN implemented the price reduction on September 12 from R2 to 90c per MMS. The new price includes VAT, and applies for MMS messages sent across networks.
Ashraff Paruk, GM, products and innovation, MTN SA, says: “The good news is that even though we drastically dropped the price, we have increased the size of the message customers can send at this new flat rate. In this way, customers know what to expect on their monthly bills, and there are no surprises."
Paruk adds that MTN customers now have the benefit of sending short videos to friends via MMS, at a price that is extremely low by international standards.
"MTN MMS is easy, quick and simple to set up. Customers just need to dial *123#. In addition, MMS is more than sending a picture. In a few seconds, customers can access the MTN JamCams and get regular traffic updates from traffic hotspots around the country.
"Even more exciting is that customers can view tourist spots like Camps Bay, Jeffrey’s Bay and uShaka Marine Park and plan leisure time. If the MTN JamCams are too adventurous for you, just dial *123# and download greeting cards, it is that simple," says Paruk.
