Microsoft to protect World Chess Champion’s secrets
World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen has requested Microsoft to protect him against Russian hackers ahead of a title defence in New York.
Carlsen is set to take on the Russian challenger Sergey Karjakin in a 12-game match in New York City from 11 to 30 November.
Carlsen is concerned that hackers may attack him to gain access to his pre-game analysis, and leak it to his opponent.
He has therefore asked Microsoft to secure his information before the big match.
