MTN data network outage

MTN subscribers around South Africa are reporting they are unable to use data services on the network.
Posts on Twitter and DownDetector suggest the issue is affecting MTN’s network across the country.
“Can’t send or receive WhatsApps but I have data. Please fix this,” one subscriber said.
“No LTE/3G in Cape Town, also purchased more data as I thought that’s the issue…great way of wasting money…”, said another.
