Samsung Galaxy Note 8 a big hit
Samsung has revealed that more people in the US have purchased the Galaxy Note 8 than previous versions of the phone during the same period.
Introduced on 23 August, the Note 8 features the largest ever screen in a Note device – a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display.
It was also the world’s first smartphone with two 12MP rear cameras with image stabilisation on both the wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
The Note 8 also has a Live Focus feature, which lets users control the depth of field when taking a photo.
It further added Dual Capture mode, where both rear cameras take two pictures simultaneously and allow you to save both images – one close-up shot and one shot that shows the entire background.
The device packs impressive hardware and features, including high-end octa-core processors, IP68 dust and water resistance, and fast wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will launch in South Africa on 22 September at a recommended retail price of R18,499.
