HP ProBook 6560b now available from DCC
Featuring a new design and upgraded internal components, the new HP ProBook 6560b, available from distributors Drive Control Corporation, targets medium to large corporate or government enterprise. This high spec machine incorporates a full sized keyboard with numeric keypad, a large touch pad, 15.6″ anti-glare LED screen and a variety of other options.
“On a design front, The aluminium display enclosure and magnesium reinforced ABS chassis deliver a high level ruggedness and durability. An intelligent feature on this machine is the bottom case with a drain which helps protect the machine against minor spills,” said Deon Botha, HP PSG Business Unit Manager at DCC.
The ProBook 6560b includes second generation Intel Core i dual core processors for improved performance and higher graphics processing ability. The machines can support up to 16GB total DDR3 RAM, with two slots supporting dual channel memory, and internal storage is offered up to 500GB.
“What makes this machine stand out however is the connection options offered. Not only does it combine the standard features such as USB, VGA and Ethernet, it also provides serial connectivity, which makes it the perfect device for hardware engineers who need to be able to connect to serial attached devices to run diagnostics and maintenance,” said Botha.
The HP ProBook 6560b ships standard with Windows 7 64-bit operating system, with optional downgrade to a 32-bit system in the box if required. On-board connectivity includes wireless and Bluetooth with optional 3G and HSDPA support. Gigabit network connection option is provided along with a 56K internal modem. It also has an integrated 720p HD webcam for video chat and conferencing ability.
“The device weighs in at around 2.5 kilograms, so it is easily portable between the office and home, and with optional full docking solutions,” Botha concludes.
