New ADSL product from Web Africa

Web Africa launched a new product, called DSL Groups, making it easy to manage multiple ADSL accounts.

Generally clients requiring more than one ADSL account had to create separate accounts and administer and pay for them separately. With the new solution, clients can create one master account, and as many sub-accounts as they need.

“DSL Groups function in the same way as a corporate credit card system. There is one master account, with many sub-accounts which can be allocated to your employees, agents or school terminals. Each sub-account can be monitored via the master account and changed, suspended or more bandwidth added as necessary,” said Web Africa.

Web Africa points out that DSL Groups are easy to manage and offer consolidated billing, centralised bandwidth management, reporting and notifications.

“As it functions as one master account with sub-accounts, the accounts are all administered in one central place. DSL Groups clients pay one invoice for the master account and sub-accounts, cutting back on administration time.”

The product is mainly aimed at bigger businesses and organizations like schools with a need for a centralized account and bandwidth management system.

“A typical usage scenario would be centralising branch management for corporate IT departments deploying ADSL at the branch level. Another being employee benefit schemes aimed at encouraging teleworking within the workforce. The company would then sponsor or co-sponsor ADSL for employees, much like a petrol card," said Web Africa MD Matthew Tagg.

The DSL Groups service starts at R 650.00 (incl VAT) for 10 GB of bandwidth and it goes up to R 6500.00 for a 100 GB account.
