Telkom staff moves on
Last year Telkom was hit by resignations from senior staff members, including its then CEO Papi Molotsane and executives Wally Beelders, Thami Msimango and Steven Hayward.
Since their resignations both Msimango and Hayward returned to Telkom, but this year the telecoms operator has been hit with a fresh exodus of senior staff members.
Telkom’s communications executive Lulu Letlape left the company in January. Another well known senior staff member, Sharon Horton, followed shortly afterwards by joining the Universal Service and Access Agency of SA (USAASA) as its head of corporate affairs.
Ajith Bridgraj, Senior Specialist of Media Liaison, is set to leave Telkom next week for greener pastures.
Alphonso Samuels, Telkom’s previous broadband officer, is also no longer acting in this position. Samuels is however still at Telkom but the position of broadband officer, created under Molotsane in 2006, seems to have been scrapped.
Telkom was unable to provide further details about the position of broadband officer and Alphonso Samuels’ move within the company.
