ThinkPad Tablet PC from Lenovo will run Android
The ThinkPad tablet PC from Lenovo is presenting itself as a true Android based competitor to the iPad range from Apple. The stand-out features of the tablet include 32GBs of storage, the Android Honeycomb OS, 2GBs of free cloud storage, and a SIM-card slot, hinting that the device may support mobile 3G data connectivity.
Other features of the ThinkPad include:
- A 1280×800 screen making use of IPS technology running a 16:10 spect ratio
- Gorilla Glass screen cover
- SD card slot
- Mini HDMI out
- USB 2.0 and micro USB ports
- Tegra 2 processing core
The ThinkPad will target the enterprise market, and as a result, security and encryption software is present throughout, with SD card encryption, lost device disablement and anti-theft software making an appearance. McAfee is also present, providing layered security options.
