MWeb offers MTN 3G

Internet provider MWeb has added an MTN 3G service to its offering. Previously the company only offered a Vodacom-based 3G service.

Starting at R179 a month for a 350MB capped 3G service, the packages on offer range up to a 2GB package for R449 a month. All packages include the cost of the MTN 3G modem. Users must sign up for a 24-month contract.

A 500MB capped contract costs R199 a month and a 1GB package costs R298 a month.

Users who already have an MTN 3G modem can sign up for the 1GB package at R289 a month, which does not include a modem.

Over-usage charges for users on the 500MB to 2GB packages will be R1.20/megabyte. Users on the 350MB package will be charged R1.50 for each additional megabyte.
