“Vast majority” of Google+ users are active
Talking at the Google earnings call on 19 January, CEO Larry Page discussed the performance of Google’s own social network, Google+.
According to Page, there are now 90 million registered Google+ users, and the “vast majority” of them use the social network either daily or weekly.
“There are over 90 million Google+ users, well over double what I announced just a quarter ago, plus users are very engaged with our products. Over 60 percent of them engaged daily and 80 percent engaged weekly,” Page said.
These numbers include all users who access any Google services including; Gmail, Gtalk, and Google search, while logged into their Google+ account.
Competing social networks Facebook and Twitter are still well ahead of Google+, with 800 million and 100 million active users respectively.
