Openweb after hours 4Mbps uncapped service launched
OpenWeb today (27 March 2012) announced its 4Mbps uncapped and unshaped after hours Internet package priced at R699 per month.
The service provides subscribers with uncapped, unshaped bandwidth with speeds of up to 4Mbps from Monday to Friday from 19:00 to 07:00, and on weekends from Friday 19:00 to Monday 07:00.
“Pricing for traditional unshaped uncapped services start at around R2000, a substantial amount to pay if you are not using it during office hours,” says Openweb founder Keoma Wright.
Although the package has no thresholds, it will be limited to 192Kbps during office hours. “However, after hours the service will run at a full 4Mbps with no shaping and no limits,” says Wright.
