Integr8 eyes telecoms market

Integr8 Group is eying out the telecommunications sector and, with subsidiary, Integr8 Telecoms is hoping to get a foothold in the competitive VoIP market.

The company will partner with a number of other companies to establish themselves in the market.

"With the evolving telecoms market and people demanding cheaper telecoms and better service, Integr8 Telecoms, with their joint venture partners across Africa, have entered into the VOIP market," says Walter Bredell, CEO, Integr8 FAX/ Telecoms.

"With inter-connects and access to clients through our infrastructure, it is now possible to change the normal TDM Telkom client platform, to a VoIP service with quality of service for better and cheaper phone calls. No need for a client to change existing company PABX, we integrate with all brands in the market," he adds. "In essence Integr8 will install a gateway behind the existing infrastructure of the client, changing normal TDM services from the PABX into a VoIP solution."

Bredell says that IP is becoming the dominant way of delivering telecoms services.

"All the major players are implementing IP solutions and selling VoIP solutions. Altech’s fight with ICASA just proves the competition is on for space in the IP game. And, of course there is WiMax, everyone is competing for space in the WiMax game, that is the obvious next step," he say.
