WBS change in ownership brings promise to ‘exceed customer expectations’
The 40% stake previously owned by the international gaming firm, GTech, is now back on home soil in the hands of a local privately-owned venture capital company called Blue Label Investments.
The company is not only changing ownership but has also decided to trade under the name ‘iBurst’ but WBS will remain as the registered and legal name of the firm.
Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst, has added a promise of improved performance by the company in order to increase customer satisfaction.
“Many positive changes have been implemented at iBurst recently. All of them reflect our single-minded ideal of meeting and exceeding our customer’s every expectation,” said Mtshali.
“We are keeping our promise that current customers will be the first to experience the benefits of the new look iBurst thanks to massive investments in coverage and a focus on hiring the most capable customer care agents in the industry,” he said.
South African broadband customers have become hardened to promises of this nature with Telkom’s CEO, Papi Molotsane, making very similar noises in November last year about ‘delighting’ Telkom customers.
The proof really is in the pudding but it is always encouraging to hear that there is a renewed emphasis on customer care.
