Communications DG leaves ANC
Communications DG Lyndall Shope-Mafole has announced that she has resigned from the ruling African National Congress (ANC).
FMTech reports that Shope-Mafole tendered her resignation in a letter to ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe, but added that she is keen to remain on as Communications DG until 2010 when her contract expires.
It is however unlikely that the ruling party will keep a potential ANC dissident in a key position like Communications Director General.
