Telkom named top employer in South Africa
The Top Employers Institute has recognised Telkom as a top employer in South Africa for the fourth consecutive year in 2026.
Telkom welcomed the certification, saying it demonstrates the company’s high-performance workplace and focus on driving business performance, employee engagement, and growth.
The Top Employers Institute is active in 131 countries worldwide and is recognised as a global authority in Human Resources (HR) certification, benchmarking, and advisory.
It certifies firms based on the outcomes of an HR Best Practices Survey covering six domains: People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
“Telkom is pleased to announce it has been recognised as a Top Employer in South Africa for 2026, marking our fourth consecutive year of certification,” the network operator said.
“This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a workplace where every individual feels valued, empowered, and inspired to thrive,” added Telkom Group HR officer, Melody Lekota.
She added that Telkom’s focus remains on balancing investments in people, processes, and technology to ensure sustainable growth and a culture of excellence.
“Together, we continue to build an environment that drives innovation and enables our employees to deliver their best work every day,” said Lekota.
Commenting on the achievement, Top Employers Institute CEO Adrian Seligman said the award reflects Telkom’s dedication to building a workplace that enables sustained business performance.
