Telkom Mobile announces price increases
Telkom has announced prepaid and postpaid mobile pricing updates for 2026, with most postpaid plans increasing by 8% and a few receiving slightly lower increases.
The network operator said its new pricing will take effect on 1 April 2026. It said updating pricing is necessary to maintain service quality.
“To continuously maintain quality service offerings to you, due to rising costs and broader economic factors, we have made adjustments to the pricing of some of our products and services,” Telkom said.
“We remain committed to delivering great value and appreciate your continued support.”
From 1 April, the network operator will increase prices on most mobile postpaid and top-up plans, as well as a small selection of prepaid products.
Telkom is raising the voice rate on its Telkom More and Telkom Thola More prepaid price plans. Customers on the Telkom More plan will see their voice rate increase from R1.91 to R1.99 per minute.
Those on the Telkom Thola More plan will see their voice rate increase from R0.80 to R0.89 per minute. Telkom also announced price changes for four of its prepaid LTE data packages.
The Unlimited Off-Peak LTE plan will increase from R259 to R279 per month. At the same time, the Unlimited All Hours 10Mbps will rise from R629 to R649 per month.
The Unlimited All Hours 20Mbps plan will increase by R50 to R789 per month, and the 1TB LTE data package is also increasing by R50 to R999 per month.
Regarding postpaid pricing adjustments, most plans are increasing by 8% on 1 April 2026. However, some plans will see price adjustments of as little as 2.6%.
“An average price increase of 6.5% will be implemented across all mobile plans, although individual
percentages between plans might differ,” Telkom said.
The tables below list Telkom’s mobile postpaid and prepaid price adjustments taking effect on 1 April 2026.
