Huge Distribution strengthens market position after successful Solar and Storage Live Africa 2026 showcase

“The Solar and Storage Live Africa 2026 expo was a major success for Huge Distribution and Huge Energy, as we showcased our Deye, Resun, and Yesper products, and cemented our position in the Southern African market.”
This is according to Karl Chelius, the Business Development Specialist for Huge Distribution, who was speaking to MyBroadband.
Huge Distribution used its presence at the event to showcase its core brands and product lines, make valuable connections, and strengthen its position in South Africa’s competitive renewable energy sector.
Solar and Storage Live Africa 2026 hosted over 30,000 attendees, 516 VIPs, and more than 500 exhibiting brands from across 110 countries.
Through the expo, Huge Distribution engaged with over 1,000 attendees and generated an impressive 380 leads.
Deye partnership drives focused growth
Huge Distribution is one of only two official Deye importers and distributors in South Africa, and the only local distributor exclusively focused on Deye’s inverters and energy storage solutions.
This single-brand focus forms a core part of its value proposition to installers and partners.
“Our single-brand focus enables deeper product expertise and a more consistent experience for our customers,” said Chelius.
At Solar and Storage Live Africa 2026, this relationship was further reinforced through Huge Distribution’s presence on the Deye stand.
The company was invited to support Deye’s exhibition presence, with the Huge Distribution team actively engaging with customers and stakeholders on-site.

Exclusive Resun partnership strengthens solar offering
Huge Distribution complements its energy solutions portfolio through its exclusive partnership with Resun Solar.
It is the sole importer and distributor of Resun panels in sub-Saharan Africa – an exclusivity agreement that provides a clear advantage in a competitive market.
“Our relationship with Resun gives us direct access to the factory and decision-makers, which improves flexibility and responsiveness,” said Chelius.
The company showcased Resun’s latest panel technology at the Solar and Storage expo, highlighting its commitment to high-performance solar solutions.
It also proudly hosted a senior representative from the Resun factory in China – Sales Manager Ruby Yu.
“The show was such a great experience, and I loved seeing how Huge Distribution is leading the solar market in the region,” said Yu.
This close collaboration enables shorter lead times, consistent product availability, and competitive pricing for installer partners.
Building relationships and looking ahead
Despite global pressures affecting logistics and input costs, Huge Distribution confirmed that its supply remains stable across its product lines, including Deye, Resun, and home energy solutions brand Yesper.
It even plans to expand its portfolio with the introduction of solar pump solutions within the next few months.
“The year ahead is positive, and we remain focused on delivering value through strong partnerships and a clear product strategy,” said Chelius.
