AlphaESS Welcomes Southern African Energy Leaders to China for “Energy Momentum 2026,” Deepening Long-Term Partnerships

AlphaESS, a leading global green energy storage solution and service provider, has welcomed a delegation of leading EPCs, developers, financiers and distribution partners from South Africa and Zimbabwe for “Energy Momentum 2026,” an immersive week-long visit to China designed to deepen long-term relationships and build a connected energy ecosystem across Southern Africa.

Rather than a conventional factory tour, the program took a relationship-centric, human-centric approach.

Through workshops, facility visits and shared experiences, guests explored AlphaESS’s strengths in system integration, EMS and the AlphaCloud monitoring platform, and saw the wider value chain firsthand through visits to shareholder and ecosystem partners — including cell manufacturing at EVE Energy and electric-vehicle experiences with NIO.

Just as importantly, the week brought EPCs, financiers and distribution partners together under one roof, helping seed a collaborative ecosystem where developers and capital can connect directly.

As the South African market evolves from residential storage toward commercial, industrial and utility-scale applications, the stakes are rising.

Projects at this scale are long-term financial assets, yet industry conversations still tend to focus on upfront price and day-one commissioning — while the risks that surface over a system’s long operating life are easy to underestimate.

Helping partners recognize and plan for these “beyond day one” risks was a central goal of the visit.

Central to the program — and to AlphaESS’s long-termism philosophy — was a workshop themed “Beyond Day One,” conveying that a storage project’s true value lies not in the day it is energized, but in safe, stable performance and sustained returns over 10 to 15 years and beyond.

Anchoring this philosophy is AlphaESS’s “5T 1S” value proposition — Safety, Warranty, Bankability, Visibility, Flexibility and Service — which reframes energy storage not as equipment to be purchased, but as a long-term energy asset to be operated and trusted for the decades ahead.

AlphaESS is committed to delivering on every dimension of “5T 1S” across hardware, software and service — positioning it as a long-term partner of choice and championing the ecosystem collaboration that turns individual projects into a thriving local market.

“What stayed with our guests was not a spec sheet, but the culture, professionalism and partnership behind it,” said Josh Deng, General Manager, AlphaESS Africa Region. “Like a dragon-boat crew, the most competitive players in our industry won’t be the strongest individuals, but those who win through synchronization — moving as one. This visit was about building that kind of long-term trust and collaboration.”

Several participants described it as the highest-caliber OEM engagement they had attended, with many forging new connections among themselves. AlphaESS plans to build on this momentum through continued engagement and project development across the region in the months ahead.
