The best and worst IT companies
Well known consumer website HelloPeter recently started to rate companies according to their compliments/complaints ratio and ‘unhappy to happy’ conversion rate. These ‘league tables’ are provided for a variety of industries, including IT Companies and Telecommunications Providers.
According to the latest IT industry comparison Dell Computers has the highest compliments to complaints ratio, giving an indication that consumers are fairly happy with their Dell purchases and the support they receive from the company. Other companies which performed well in this survey include Softline Pastel and MWEB.
The telecommunication provider with the highest compliments ratio on HelloPeter is Cell C, followed by Vodacom, Neotel and Nashua Mobile. According to HelloPeter Telkom is the ‘worst’ when it comes to complaints about ‘companies who don’t respond’.
It should be noted that companies not registered with HelloPeter can not respond to consumers complaints and are therefore not listed in the league tables. This can potentially provide skewed results in favour of companies who subscribe to the HelloPeter service.
Another local consumer focused website, Getclosure!, is also focused on resolving consumer complaints by “providing an efficient and convenient online platform to facilitate the complaint process.”
According to feedback from Getclosure! Cell C is the top telecoms provider with an average rating of 3/5, followed by Vodacom with 2/5 and MTN and Telkom with 1.5/5. The worst providers according to the website are Virgin Mobile and Neotel with an average rating of 1/5.
