Nokia unveils three new handsets
Nokia today announced the release of three new devices, namely the Nokia 5530 Xpress Music, Nokia E72 and Nokia 3710.
The 5530 is pinned to be a more compact version of the successful 5800 which is currently available. It will feature a full touch screen interface and will ship in the third quarter of 2009. According to Nokia it will sell for EUR 199 (R2,230) although no announcement has yet been made regarding local availability or pricing.
The E72, which according to Nokia is an update of its highly successful E71 device, will build on mobile email and instant messaging services offered in previous models. Subscribers will be able to set up instant messaging accounts through Nokia Messaging from the home screen. It will also be available in the third quarter of 2009 for a price of EUR 350 (R3,920).
The 3710 Nokia Fold features are based on simple design which incorporates an element of art into the phone. It will ship in the fourth quarter of 2009 and will sell for EUR 140 (R1,568).
There has been no official announcement regarding when the devices will be available in South Africa.
