New Telkom executive for IT solutions
Bashier Sallie, Senior Managing Executive of the Wholesale and Networks division in the Telkom SA business unit, today announced that he has appointed Sammy Gumbe as Managing Executive: Information Technology Solutions.
Gumbe was appointed in an acting capacity at the beginning of August. Prior to this appointment he held the position of Executive: IT Strategy & Architecture.
“Sammy has been with Telkom for 17 years and has held various senior management positions in IT and HR. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the ICT industry to the portfolio,” said Sallie.
Gumbe holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Natal, a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) and Master of Business Leadership degrees, both from UNISA.
Gumbe’s appointment is effective immediately.
