MWEB ADSL, business changes

Mweb logo

MWEB will be moving the support of most of MWEB Business’ ADSL customers and services to their call centres in Cape Town, which the company said offers the scale to provide a better and more efficient service to these customers.

This move means that some of the current MWEB Business positions will become redundant. However, not all of these staff members will lose their jobs.

MWEB ISP CEO Derek Hershaw said that they have started to consult with the affected staff in JHB about this change.

“We are recruiting in other areas of the business and wherever possible we will redeploy those staff,” said Hershaw. He added that the eventual MWEB Business job losses will not be very high.
