Free ADSL weekend bandwidth here next week
Cybersmart recently announced that it is planning to launch a new Weekender service, offering their ADSL 384 subscribers free ADSL bandwidth from midnight on Friday until 5.59am on Monday morning. At the time Cybersmart MD Laurie Fialkov said that the service will cost R99 per month.
The service was initially planned for early February, but Cybersmart has now moved the launch date to 1 March. Good news for ADSL subscribers is that Cybersmart has also launched more affordable variations of its planned weekender service.
According to Fialkov they are planning three options:
- Weekender 1 which gives three times your cap (all speeds) for R29 per month
- Weekender 2 which gives five times your cap (all speeds) at R49 per month
- Weekender 3 which offers ten times your cap (all speeds) and uncapped (384 Kbps) for R99 per month
According to Fialkov the new more affordable pricing model should make the service more accessible to their ADSL subscribers, and he guaranteed that the Weekender service will be available to Cybersmart users on 1 March.
