ADSL problems dog Telkom
Users in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban are experiencing package loss and general poor connectivity on their ADSL connections today.
According to feedback from ADSL subscribers they are having problems accessing both local and international online services and websites.
According to a SAIX network notice a link between London and Bellville is down which results in slow speeds. This problem is likely to affect ADSL, Dialup, Leased Line and WiMax users.
This problem is expected to be fixed by around 14:00 today.
Another notice – which deals with problems of a more localized nature – pointed to a fault with the Sunninghill Park DSLAM which started at around 11:00. This problem should also be resolved at around 14:00.
No official feedback from Telkom regarding these issues was received by the time of publication.
