R44 per GB ADSL
Discovery Vitality is providing its members with an ADSL service starting at R44 a month for a 1GB account.
According to the Vitality Broadband website the entry level package at R44 a month gives subscribers 1GB of bandwidth, a 1GB email box with 5 email aliases and free incoming faxmail.
The company’s "Bonus Bandwidth ADSL" service is priced at R65 a month and offers 1GB of blended bandwidth and 9GB of local bandwidth. This account also includes a 100MB email box and 10MB of personal web space.
A 10GB blended bandwidth account which includes 20GB of local bandwidth after being capped is priced at R600 a month.
Vitality Broadband also has "combined price" ADSL options which include both ADSL access and ADSL bandwidth. The service starts at R188 for a DSL 384 service with a 1GB monthly usage limit, slightly cheaper than Telkom’s R199 for the same offering.
This price increases to R576 a month for a DSL 4Mbps service with a 3GB cap and 27GB local bandwidth – slightly more expensive than Telkom’s R554 for a similar service.
The bandwidth for this service is supplied by Internet Solutions, and according to the Vitality Broadband helpdesk the hard capped service is fibre based while the soft cap is satellite bandwidth.
The service is only available to Vitality Discovery members.
