Neotel’s CDMA network grows
Neotel’s CDMA network expansion continues in Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban, and NeoConnect trials with pilot customers and the media is around the corner in both Cape Town and Durban.
Currently the major metropolitan suburbs of both Cape Town and Durban are being covered, and Neotel said that it will formally announce the list of covered suburbs for both Cape Town and Durban upon launch.
“We expect to commercially launch our offering in these regions [Cape Town and Durban] within the next few weeks as we refine all of our processes and systems,” Neotel said.
Neotel currently has around 300 active NeoConnect customers on its network, and is growing this number daily.
Network coverage remains the largest obstacle for the company as it gets calls from potential subscribers from around the country, but this is something it is addressing through aggressive rollout plans, the company said.
