Download 2 000 MP3s with 1 GB?

Mr I D Pieterse lodged an Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) consumer complaint against the ‘iBurst Vodacom Service Provider Company (Pty) Ltd’ for claiming that a subscriber can download 2000 MP3s with 1000 MB.

“In essence, the complainant submitted that the advertisement on the Vodacom site is misleading, as the iBurst site claims that a person can only download 290MP3’s,” the ASA website states.

According to the ASA: ‘Vodacom addressed the merits of the matter but also submitted that the error was rectified with immediate effect.’

The Vodacom website currently reads that a subscriber can download '290 MP3’s with 1000MB'.
