Telkom strike intensifies
Telkom workers are expected to march from the Pretoria City Hall to Telkom Towers on Tuesday to hand a list of demands tomanagement.
This is after talks between the Communications Workers Union and Telkom adjourned on Monday evening with no agreement reached.
Union spokesperson Pheane Ramoadi said workers were also expected to go on “a full blown strike” on Thursday.
Workers are demanding that Telkom adjust salary scales before implementing a 7.5% increase.
They are also demanding that both the adjustment and increment be backdated to April 1 this year.
