Telkom strike continues

Communication Workers Union (CWU) members are set to continue their industrial action today after marching to Telkom’s headquarters yesterday to hand over a memorandum to Telkom CEO Reuben September.

September was however not present to accept the striking workers’ memorandum, but Telkom did say that it will cover the expenses of the CWU members’ march to the Telkom Towers.

Negotiations between Telkom management and the CWU are set to continue today at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration.
