Telkom talks continue

Telkom and the Communication Workers’ Union (CWU) is set to continue talks into Thursday evening at the offices of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in Johannesburg. 

CWU affiliated Telkom workers continued their strike action on Thursday, calling on Telkom’s management to take their demand seriously.

According to a report by EWN the implementation date of salary adjustments remains a thorny issue.  “The only problem that is left is the implementation date of the adjustment, they are saying the adjustment should be from October we say it should be from April,” CWU’s Richard Poulton is quoted as saying.
