South Africans love their mobile phones, and the device of choice for contract subscribers gives a good idea as to which phones are the most popular in South Africa.

MTN corporate clients favor Nokia and HTC. The most popular choices amoung MTN contract subscribers are the Nokia N95, the Nokia N90 and the HTC TYTN II.

Cell C clients seem to prefer Samsung and Nokia. The top 8 fastest selling postpaid handsets at Cell C are the Samsung E250, Samsung D900i, Nokia 6300, Samsung U700, Nokia 5200, Nokia N70, Nokia N73 and the Nokia 6288.

Vodacom clients also seem to prefer Nokia and Samsung. The largest local mobile operator’s most popular phones are the Nokia N70, Samsung J750, Nokia 6234 and Nokia E65.
