New Cell C Executives
Cell C has announced the appointment of Bob Wiggins as chief technical officer and Melody Lekota as chief human resource officer to its executive team.
Cell C CEO Jeffrey Hedberg says the expertise, leadership and experience Wiggins and Lekota bring to Cell C will boost an already strong executive team. “Melody Lekota’s analytical yet action-oriented approach to developing HR solutions for the business coupled with her passion for performance excellence makes her an invaluable team member.
“Bob Wiggins brings an impressive track record built upon 30 years of international experience in the telecommunications industry to Cell C. This applied know-how includes technology management, mobile and transmission network planning, construction and operations,” says Hedberg.
Lekota joins Cell C from Primedia Limited where she was appointed group human resources executive in 2003 and a board member in 2006. She holds an MBA from De Montfort University in Leicester and is currently studying for her MA in human resources through the same institution.
Bob Wiggins joins Cell C from Globe Telecoms in the Philippines and holds an Honours Degree in Engineering from the NSW Institute of Technology in Australia.
