Cell C network problems

Cell C subscribers started reporting problems with their service from around 2 pm on Monday, and Cell C confirmed that a portion of their customers are experiencing problems.

The number ranges which are affected are 0844, 0845 and 0848.

CellC said that they are currently updating their HLR and will provide official feedback about the problem soon.

An official Cell C statement says:  "Cell C experienced a technical glitch which affected one of the nodes in certain numbers this afternoon. This problem is isolated only to a few numbers and specifically affects incoming calls intermittently. Our technicians are currently working on the problem and we are hoping to resolve it soon.  Cell C wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused."
