Wireless keyboard for Wii

PC peripheral maker Logitech has announced its new wireless keyboard designed to be used with the Nintendo Wii game console.

The wireless keyboard can be used chat-oriented games and the Wii Internet Channel. The keyboard used 2.4GHz wireless technology.

"One of the big reasons Wii has been so successful is the social element of the games and applications," says Robert van de Vegte, regional director of Logitech in South Africa. "Our new keyboard helps families experience the Internet in the living room – and it will make chatting with online friends simple in popular games such as Animal Crossing."

The wireless keyboard also provides special system keys – such as zoom in/out, forward/back, quit and OK – making it easier to surf the Web, read the news, check the weather, browse Internet videos and send email.

The Logitech Cordless Keyboard for Wii is expected to be available in South Africa in September and will sell for R499.
