SA's new Apple magazine
Despite a general consensus that print media is in decline and a trend towards closing down magazines rather than opening new ones, a new Apple Mac-focused magazine released its first issue last week.
Edited by Steve Allison, Mac Action magazine is a locally produced digital magazine focused exclusively on the Apple market locally.
The free magazine is available from the Mac Action website or through Virtualmags.co.za and can be read online entirely.
Intended to be released monthly – on the first Thursday of every month – Mac Action magazine is intended to set right the "embarrassing void on local newsagent shelves where a South African, or indeed African-flavoured Apple Mac magazine should be," says Allison.
"From now on, Mac Action will bring those addicted to, those merely interested in, and those who can at least appreciate from afar, their monthly ‘fix’ of Apple-related news, invaluable and in-depth How To articles guiding them through various Mac actions … a spotlight African Mac-dedicated businesses and organisations, and of course all the hardware and software review goodness that comes with the moniker of being a technology magazine."
The magazine covers local Apple news, personalities and product reviews.
