Toshiba launches new Satellite notebooks
With their new 13.3” Satellite U400, 15.4” Satellite A300 and 17” Satellite P300 products Toshiba plans to marry progressive industrial design and sophisticated features. (Toshiba Satellite U400 photo here)
The new range of Satellite laptops incorporates a number of design elements not often found in mid-range products. These include a multimedia bar with six white LED-illuminated feather-touch ‘Easy Keys’ and white LED system indicators.
“Toshiba understands that people have changed their view when it comes to consumer electronics,” says Reon Coetzee, Toshiba marketing manager for South Africa and Africa.
“These days, your notebook is your photo album, it’s your music library, it’s your workstation, your DVD player and your gaming console. It’s not enough to just offer a laptop with great specs, to be truly competitive in today’s market, it must look great too,” he adds.
The Satellite P300 and Satellite A300 support ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470/3650 graphics processing capabilities and DVD SuperMulti drive. The combination of Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby Sound Room enhances the audio capabilities of these laptops.
WLAN, Bluetooth and Ethernet LAN are supported while Toshiba’s ConfigFree provides location-based connectivity for wired and wireless networks to make mobility easier for users.
The new laptops come with Intel and AMD CPUs, with a hard disc capacity of up to 640 GB and dual hard disk support.
