Sidewinder X8 gaming mouse here
The device features Microsoft Blue Track technology and includes image processing of 13 000 frames per second (fps). Additionally it is designed for lag-free play and offers almost zero latency on a 2.4 GHz wireless connection. This says Zelda Emmerick, Axiz Product Manager for Microsoft, means that the X8 is well suited to the gaming world.
“Expect to get up to 30 hours of lag-free play on a single charge, or use the card-and-charge cable for non-stop action. In addition, we know that gamers want comfort above all else and the design of the SideWinder X8 Mouse appreciates this. The mouse has a better feel and response with detents for precise control, the shape is made for quick, balanced, and precise actions, and the top and bottom design makes locating side buttons easy,” said Emmerick.
In order to accommodate the need for customisation the X8 offers dpi switching which will enable gamers to alter mouse sensitivity during gameplay, replaceable mouse feet, seven programmable buttons and a macro record button.
“The X8 also offers smart features to enhance the gaming experience, including an LCD screen to quickly view dpi settings and macro-recording icons, and a Quick Launch button that provides one-touch access to Microsoft’s PC gaming features,” Emmerick adds.
Other X8 features include a scroll wheel with tilt, full speed 500Hz USB reporting and a three year limited warranty.
The Sidewinder X8 retails for R1 119 (inclusive of VAT).
