New Apple iMac prices for SA released

A Core Group consultant said that there will be two 20’’ models and one 24’’ available in South Africa. The low-end 20’’ iMac will be priced at R12,716-00, a significant reduction from the previous R14,673-00. While the exact specifications are not available yet, the high-end 20’’ iMac will cost R15,651-00.

The new 24’’ iMac is priced at R18,586-00, R1,956-00 less than the R20,542-00 price tag of the previous version.

The latest iMac range sports a thinner design and far higher specifications coupled with the lower price tag which makes it likely that Apple will convince some PC users to ditch their Windows based computers.

According to Core Group the new iMacs will be available in South Africa in around two weeks time.
