The Ministry of Finance has once again invited all South Africans to send through their tips on what they would like to see in the country’s Budget. Run throughout the year, the campaign encourages active participation in government programmes especially matters related to the economy.
Through the campaign the public gets an opportunity to send their tips to Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan on what they think government’s spending priorities should be.
Government is increasingly using the Internet to get feedback from South African citizens, and this time around tips can be sent to Gordhan via the website http://www.treasury.gov.za and on Pravin Gordhan’s fan page on Facebook.
For citizens who prefer more traditional communication methods, they can fax (012) 315-5126 or post their comments to Private Bag X115, Pretoria, 0001.
The annual Budget Speech will take place on 17 February 2010.
