New property website

Myroof.co.za becomes the first property website to publish floor plans for all its listed properties in South Africa.

MyRoof is the latest player to enter the online private property marketplace and according to the CEO Jano de Jager their big advantage is the ability to display the floor plans of listed properties.

Advantage of floor plans

Jano de Jager, CEO of Myroof.co.za explained the advantages of laser drawn floor plans:

“When buyers go online to look for property, they need more than just pictures to find what they want. A floor plan brings the pictures together, and tells a lot more about the property at a single glance.”

De Jager, a Systems Engineer by training, states that the technology took two years to perfect, and that the biggest issue during development was the time constraint:
“Everyone can draw a floor plan, but because it normally takes too long to do it correctly, no-one has previously succeeded in showing a detailed plan for all their properties that are for sale.”

Property buyers are able to see wide angle photographs of every room, with numbers on the floor plan indicating where the photographs were taken from, to help them ‘navigate’ around the property.

Price

The surprising fact about MyRoof is that all their properties are private sales, so no commission is due to anyone.

Sellers will not pick up the bill either. Anyone can list on Myroof.co.za at no charge. The company markets home loans to prospective buyers to create revenue, so the entire service remains free.

MyRoof will launch with branches in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town, but can accommodate sellers countrywide. The launch date for the website is 1 October and already have several thousand properties listed countrywide.
