Party leaders in late campaigns on the Internet
Jacob Zuma did not update his profile but he received huge support on the social networking site, 4016 supporters by 2.30pm yesterday.
Cope leader Mosiuoa Lekota wrote a status update that said his “vote is not a secret”.
“I voted for change, unity, anti-corrupt government, better service delivery and hope for all. Do likewise. Vote Cope!”
DA leader Helen Zille was also on the cyber campaign trail. Her entry read: “DA support at the polls is looking good. If you’ve already voted, please make sure your family and friends have too. Every vote counts.”
UDM leader Bantu Holomisa was more restrained: “I went to cast my vote this morning. Each and every South African should make the mark too, and be heard.”
