Transcend unveils 250GB StoreJet
Transcend has announced the high-capacity 250GB StoreJet. Aiming to ensure compatibility with most desktop and notebook computers, the StoreJet 2.5 uses a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, which provides data transfer rates up to 480Mbps while offering the convenience of plug and play, Transcend says.
Hiding inside the StoreJet’s shell is a high-capacity 250GB Sata HDD. Due to its faster throughput and efficient operation, Sata is quickly becoming the standard interface for modern mainstream hard drives, Transcend says. The StoreJet 2.5’s internal Sata interface aims to ensure future-proof compatibility, in case users feel the need to upgrade the internal hard drive later on.
Aiming to make external storage easier and more productive, the StoreJet 2.5 Sata HDD features a convenient "OneTouch" Auto-Backup button, and comes bundled with Transcend’s own StoreJet elite 2.0 software which is designed to offer backup scheduling, security, and power-saving functions.
Additionally, the StoreJet 2.5 Sata is available without a hard drive as a sleek external enclosure, and is designed to support all commonly used operating systems.
