Telkom beats Competition Commission
FMTech reports that the Competition Commission may not refer a complaint against Telkom, brought by the SA Vans Association, to the Competition Tribunal, the Pretoria high court has ruled.
“The verdict is a blow to the commission, which had recommended that the tribunal fine Telkom R3,7bn for alleged abuse of its monopoly, and to the Internet service providers that brought the original complaint,” FMTech said..
There are various Competition Commission complaints pending against Telkom, including from the South African Value Added Network Services (SAVA), Omnilink, ISPA, MWEB and Internet Solutions.
